Retrofits and projects

The biggest section of our company is complete delivery of small and medium projects. In many cases it isn’t effective to repair old components; more economically interesting is so called retrofit (alteration to a current product). We solve most retrofits and projects on Rockwell Automation, Pro-face and Delta components, because we have great experiences with them. The most common type of retrofits is rebuilding of machines equipped with old motion controllers; type IMC S Class, 1394, BRU, OSS, IQ2000, IQ5000 and others. We rebuild not only machines with old motion controllers but also machines with older control systems; type SLC100, SCL150, PLC2 and PLC5. For all these systems we are equipped with HW and SW needed. We are able to ensure not only planned but also urgent retrofits.
Not only we provide retrofits but we also provide technology enhancements and creation of application sw in glasswork, automobile, chemical, food and telecommunication industry. We cooperated on creating and enhancement of application software in Micrologix, SLC500, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, DriveLogix Simatic S7 and visualization software RS View 32, FT View ME, FT View SE and InTouch. These service are provided not only for manufacturers but also for end customers including modifications of SQL databases.

Types of retrofits and applications:

• Motion controllers

Our team has many references on retrofits of devices with Motion Controllers IMC S Class and 1394 system. Retrofit is being done several ways according to application scale. We offer retrofit to ControlLogix system with SERCOS communication or, for more simple applications, to a cheaper variant with PowerFlex 700S, or PowerFlex 755.. In both cases existing motors with cables are used and therefore there is no need for many mechanical modifications.
Most of original devices were made of control system and system for servodrive control, mostly due to performance of control system. On all these devices there is often a problem with control of servodrives and failure diagnostics because several application programs are necessary. Repairs due to obsolescence are very expensive that is why we offer retrofits.

• Networks for equipment

Networks for production machines and data collection are very popular these days because thanks to this information there may be a substantial reduction in costs. For networks we very often use Pro-face operator panels that have a server function and are able to connect various control systems. For example, Allen-Bradley, Siemens or Omron systems can be connected together to one panel and the panel itself is on Ethernet network. Then it is possible to collect data from individual automats using Pro-server SW and subsequently process it. We are also able to offer possible continuity and cooperation with SQL databases.

• Control systems
  
  Last but not least, there is a lot of requirements for unification and alteration of control systems. We are ready and able to solve alterations of PLC2 systems to PLC5 or ControlLogix, PLC5 to ControlLogix, SLC500 to CompactLogix or ControlLogix.
  
• Operator panels

Due to early termination of the old Pro-face product range we modify these panels to GP3000 range. We also very often solve requirements of old Rockwell Automation control panels to more recent models (DTAM Micro, DTAM Plus, MicroView, PavelView 1200, PanelView 1400e, PanelView 1200e,...).

• Frequency drives
  
  We start up and deploy frequency drives Flexpak 3000, PowerFlex 70, 700, 700S, 755. We also have experiences with lift applications using frequency drive PowerFlex 700.

In co-operation with the company SPEL Inc. we ensure a production of cabinets and a complete project and electrical documentation for these retrofits and projects. Thanks to this close co-operation we are able to offer even very large retrofits and turn-key projects.
